Mission

KHA stewards equitable systems and institutional change that narrows disparities experienced by populations that are marginalized, notably for their racial and ethnic identities. Building on its 25-year track record, the firm engages decision-makers and influencers to disrupt their patterns that reinforce inequities and to change the status quo in a way that creates a just society of infinite possibilities for good.

Vision

By 2030, KHA is the firm of reference for social impact and multi-sector systems change. It convenes decision-makers and influencers to navigate complex processes, builds strategy from population and primary data, and tailors solutions to the unique circumstances presented.

From Our founder

We go slow to go fast, while keeping it moving. Stewarding change to mobilize money towards Black and Brown led organizations … this equity-focused work isn’t done in a day. Or even a year. This is long term, evolutionary work. But it’s always worth it. It all starts with a willingness to get curious, be in relationship, and letting conviction open up the path. It also takes solid organizational development, facilitation, program management, and research and evaluation!

KHA’s work is grounded in equity and aims to assist philanthropic clients in developing strategies that prioritize grantmaking and investments in Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPoC)-led organizations and communities. Its previous work experience includes projects that have ranged from collecting data from community-based stakeholders to conducting a demographic survey of data for a multi-billion dollar foundation. KHA’s staff members have content expertise across a wide range of disciplines and have led work in the field as community organizers and non-profit staff members.
